Apple builds this amazing ecosystem for a reason, and it’s a main reason I’m a consumer. My old standby stopped working and frankly failed me when they moved from using Reminders as their data store to their own proprietary. I’ve tried out every To Do app over the years. (Which means those of us with the means to support can opt in, and those who can’t afford an ongoing subscription are still able to access all features for a one-time payment.) This app does what I want, is frequently updated with fixes and new features, is less expensive than other to-do apps, is flexible to handle either complex filtering or subtasks or just simple lists when you need them, and has options to buy all features once, to support with a subscription, or to just support in single payments when you want. Newest feature I like is the 3-column view on ipad, a bit reminiscent of a trello board and makes it easy to see a project of tasks divided by priority or what have you. Or I can share Reminders lists with my family or friends who use the Reminders app, the shared lists show up in goodtask for me but show up in ios Reminders app for them - so I don’t have to make others learn to use goodtask when all they need or want is a simple shared checklist. Syncs with native reminders, allowing me to do so much more than native reminders does - especially creating smart lists! I love that I can have a smart list that shows all work related tasks, or all personal to-dos, or just tasks with a certain project tag, or just tasks with a certain due date, or any task that I’ve tagged etc.Īt the same time, the fact that goodtask is built on top of Reminders and syncs with the native Reminders means I can still just ask siri to “remind me” about something and it’ll show up in goodtask.
